Yearbook 2022

Student/Faculty Description

Agatha

Agatha is the unconventional, sharp-witted protagonist of The School for Good and Evil. Hailing from Gavaldon, she is dark-haired, pale, and often misunderstood due to her grim appearance and sarcastic demeanor. Initially assigned to the School for Evil, Agatha struggles to reconcile her outward image with her kind, loyal, and selfless heart. She represents the true nature of Good: embracing inner beauty over external perfection.

Sophie

Sophie is Agatha's childhood friend and the opposite in many ways: blonde, charming, and obsessed with beauty and perfection. She dreams of becoming a princess at the School for Good but is instead sent to the School for Evil. Beneath her polished exterior lies ambition, vanity, and a darker side she must confront. Sophie's journey explores the blurred lines between good and evil, and the dangers of unchecked desire.

Tedros

Tedros is the dashing, brave, and sometimes hotheaded prince of Camelot, assigned to the School for Good. Son of King Arthur, he values honor, loyalty, and chivalry but struggles with his own insecurities. Tedros' charm and heroism often come with stubbornness, yet his genuine heart shines as he forms complex relationships with both Agatha and Sophie.

Rafal

Rafal is the enigmatic and cunning antagonist, known as the School Master. He embodies the darker forces of Evil and wields immense power. Charismatic and manipulative, Rafal seeks to tip the balance of Good and Evil in his favor, blurring moral boundaries and testing the characters' loyalties. His connection to Sophie reveals his obsession with control and chaos.

Beatrix

Beatrix is the quintessential “good” student at the School for Good. Blonde, graceful, and beautiful, she prides herself on her perfection and princess-like demeanor. However, her superficial understanding of Good contrasts with Agatha's depth, often making Beatrix a foil for the story’s exploration of true virtue.

Hester

Hester is a fierce and intelligent student at the School for Evil, marked by her loyalty to her friends and her no-nonsense attitude. Known for her black hair, rebellious nature, and a demon tattoo that comes to life, Hester represents the more complex and authentic side of Evil. She values strength and truth over pretension and proves to be an unlikely ally.

Professor Dovey

Professor Clarissa Dovey is the graceful and wise Dean of the School for Good. She embodies traditional values of Good—kindness, fairness, and compassion. Dovey serves as a guiding force for Agatha, encouraging her to embrace her inner goodness and challenge the stereotypes of what it means to be “good.”

Lady Lesso

Lady Leonora Lesso is the sharp-tongued and commanding Dean of the School for Evil. With her fiery red hair and stern demeanor, she champions the darker virtues of cunning and ambition. However, beneath her ruthless exterior, Lady Lesso has a complex understanding of Evil and ultimately shows a begrudging respect for those who challenge convention.

Professor Anemone

Professor Emma Anemone teaches Beautification at the School for Good. Obsessed with outward beauty and frivolous ideals, she represents the shallow aspects of Good that the story critiques. Her exaggerated focus on perfection provides comic relief while highlighting the superficial expectations of fairy-tale heroes.

The Headmaster

The Headmaster, Rafal’s former identity, is a powerful and mysterious figure overseeing both schools. He manipulates the balance between Good and Evil, orchestrating events to further his own sinister agenda. As the story unfolds, his character reveals deeper truths about the nature of power and the cyclical battle between light and dark.
